Age. Humans reach adulthood in their late teens and live less than a century.   Alignment. Humans tend toward no particular alignment. The best and the worst are found among them.   Size. Humans vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.   Humans are the most numerous civilized humanoid race of Golarion with a variety of ethnicities, and a stake in virtually every corner of the world. Known for their adaptability and versatility, humans have throughout history been behind many of the largest and most prosperous of nations.   No one truly knows what deity or creature first created the human race. According to alghollthu wall carvings, they were responsible for humanity's creation, although this claim is impossible to prove conclusively.

Ethnicities

Humans have a number of ethnicity with distinctive features related to appearance, language, and cultural practice. These ethnicities are not mechanically different, and as such are not considered subraces.
  • Chelaxian. Chelaxians are descendants of the nation of Cheliax and the colonies of the Chelish Empire. They tend towards dark eyes, dark hair and pale skin.
  • Garundi. The native ethnicity of the continent of Garund, and the majority ethnicity of most of the nations within the continent, including Rahadoum. Among Golarion's tallest humans, the Garundi boast dark skin, sharp cheekbones, broad shoulders, and premature bright white hair.
  • Lirgeni. The bronze-skinned Lirgeni humans (sometimes spelled Lergeni), now a diaspora after the Eye of Abendego destroyed their homeland of Lirgen, are unique among their Mwangi and Garundi neighbors. They are typically tall, thin, and broad-shouldered, with dark, freckled bronze skin and light eyes. Many braid their dark, straight hair.
  • Mwangi. The name Mwangi often refers to the group of related, but ultimately distinct, ethnicities of humans who inhabit Garund's western coasts, the jungles and plains of interiors, and the southern reaches of the continent. Members of all Mwangi subgroups commonly share physical traits, such as dark skin varying in tone from dusky through grey to coal black, and black hair worn in a variety of styles.
  • Taldan. Taldans are a human ethnicity who come from the nation of Taldor, and from the former Taldan Empire. Their skin is a natural bronze tone and their hair is normally dark brown and naturally flowing. Eyes tend to be on the smaller side, but are quite expressive with gray, green, or even unusual amber being common.
  • Tian. The Tian people come from the distant continent of Tian Xia, located far to the east of the Inner Sea. Tian humans tend to be shorter than average, with straight dark-colored hair and narrow-shaped, often brown eyes.
  • Varisian. Varisians are a primarily nomadic human ethnic group known to favor the open road over permanent settlements. The Varisian people typically possess deep, olive-colored skin, and long hair that comes in an incredibly large range of colors from platinum to the darkest black. They often have large, expressive eyes that come in a variety of unusual colors such as violet or gold.
  • Vudrani. The Vudrani are a human ethnicity originally from the nation of Vudra in far-away Casmaron. Vudrani tend to be of darker complexion, and have dark hair and eyes.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Humans typically learn the languages of other peoples they deal with, including obscure dialects. They are fond of sprinkling their speech with words borrowed from other tongues: Orc curses, Elvish musical expressions, Dwarvish military phrases, and so on.
