Smart Yordles? Sure. We've got them. Good at setting traps or building things. Who knows. Definitely not rambling to fill more space because of the picture I decided to add on here.

ability score increase: +2 Int and an additional increase based on chosen Variant

age: Yordles mature at a similar rate humans do, and most are expected to settle into adult life by around 40. They can live anywhere between 200 and 300 years.

alignment: Any alignment. Go away.

Size: Small

speed: 25 ft.

Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common, Yordle, and one extra language of your choice.

race features:
Yordle Cunning. You have advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.

Cunning Sub-Variants

Select one of the following sub-variants, gaining its features:
Rustic (Forest)

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by one.
Natural Illusionist. You know the minor illusion cantrip. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it.
Speak with Small Beasts. Through sounds and gestures, you can communicate simple ideas with Small or smaller beasts. Some yordles love animals and may keep squirrels, badgers, rabbits, moles, woodpeckers, and other creatures as beloved pets.

Tinkerer (Rock)

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by one.
Artificer's Lore. Whenever you make an Intelligence (History) check related to magic items, alchemical objects, or technological devices, you can add twice your proficiency bonus, instead of any proficiency bonus you normally apply.
Tinker. You have proficiency with artisan's tools (tinker's tools). Using those tools, you can spend 1 hour and 10 gp worth of materials to construct a Tiny clockwork device (AC 5, 1 hp). See Cunning Yordle Tinkering for more infor.
