Kwai is a simple human monk who travels the world of Scandarin to preform good deeds, he believes in the saying "steal from the rich, give to the poor" as he is a noble man, who only wishes for the bare human needs, sleep, food, water, shelter, etc.  He wears loose fitting cloths, sandles and a cloth bag on his shoulder. Kwai views himself as stronger than he actually is, as he wants to help people for the sake of helping.  This can cause him to get into difficult situations with people much stronger than him who he said he could take on. Kwai may be the simple type, but he does what he needs to.
