The bandages are boiled in the water together with a dried morel until the bandages have yellowed. Once that is done, the bandages are applied to the wound, and the caster must embrace the victim while reciting the spell, which takes about a minute. Once the spell takes effect the healing time of the wound will be cut in half. The spell has no effect on fatal wounds.

However, the spell is very exhausting on the caster, as energy is taken from the caster to strengthen the victim. The caster receives two points of Exhaustion when casting it.
