The witch snaps her fingers and utters "Grístur", the fay word for "darkness", and is immediately enveloped in a sphere of darkness that is ten paces in diameter with the witch in the center. No natural light can penetrate the darkness for the duration.

However those who possess magical light, such as Galindra's Glimmer or Fairy Fire, can shine through the compact darkness and disperse it temporarily. The darkness will disappear once the duration is out. The witch does not need to maintain the darkness and can leave the darkness at her own leisure and it will remain for the duration.
