Wilting Curse
1-level Evocation
Casting Time: 1 Action
Range/Area: 60 ft
Components: V, S, M
Materials: a few pinches of ash
Duration: 24 Hours
Speaking backwards, you inscribe a rune on a flat surface
with the ash. Choose one creature within range to make a
Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target is cursed
for the duration of the spell. While cursed, whenever the
target attempts to eat or drink, the food and drink turns to
ash in its mouth, and the target takes 1d12 necrotic
damage. The target cannot die of starvation or dehydration,
though the target is unable to procure any benefits by
eating or drinking food, beverages, or potions of any kind.
At the end of each hour, the target can repeat this saving
throw, ending the effects early on a success.
If you are in possession of a piece of the target's body at
the time of this spell's casting, such as a clump of hair, a
fingernail, a scale, or body part, the target has disadvantage
on its saving throw against this spell's effects.
A remove curse spell ends this curse early, provided that
it is cast using a spell slot of the same level or higher at
which this spell was cast
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell
slot of 2nd-level or higher, the damage increases by 1d12
for each slot level above 1st, and the duration of the spell
increases by 24 hours for each slot level above 1st.
