Weapon
Very Rare None
Ancient runes are carved into the dagger's hilt. The weapon bears 10 runes, each capable of storing the magical imprint of a spell.
Whenever a spell is cast within 20 feet of the dagger, the weapon attempts to copy the spell. If a rune already contains a copy of that spell, the dagger cannot store it again, and nothing happens. If the spell has not yet been recorded and an empty rune is available, the dagger stores a copy of the spell while the original spell resolves normally.
Each rune can store only one spell, and the dagger cannot store duplicate spells. Once a spell has been released, the corresponding rune becomes empty and can store that spell again in the future.
As an action, the wielder may cast one of the stored spells. The spell is cast using the original spell's level, spell save DC, spell attack modifier, and other relevant statistics. After being cast, the rune becomes empty.
If the dagger copies a spell while all 10 runes are already filled, the weapon becomes unstable and violently releases the accumulated arcane energy.
Each creature within 40 feet of the dagger, except the creature currently carrying or wielding it, must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw.
On a failed save, a creature takes 10d10 force damage.
On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage.
The Wielder always take the full Damage
After the explosion, every stored spell is lost, all runes become dormant, and the daggers magical effekt is lost.
This weapon is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you.
While cursed, you develop an unnatural attachment to the dagger. The thought of willingly giving it away becomes unbearable, and you grow increasingly suspicious of anyone who shows interest in possessing it. You will do everything in your power to keep the dagger in your possession and will relentlessly seek to reclaim it should it ever be lost or stolen.
