Frefil's Cookie Cutter

Wondrous Item

Uncommon

This iron cookie cutter has 4 charges and regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn. You can use an action to expend 1 of its charges to press the cutter into a suitably thin and pliable material (such as cookie dough or soft leather), cutting a Tiny humanoid figure out of it. The figure is animated, as if by the animate objects spell, for 10 minutes or until it's reduced to 0 hit points. The figure obeys any verbal commands you issue to it (no action required by you), instead of the mental commands described by the spell. Further, the figure's hit point maximum and any damage dealt by it are halved. If you don't issue any commands to it, it defends itself from hostile creatures, but otherwise takes no actions. If a different creature uses the cookie cutter to create another animated figure, each one that you created ceases to obey you and becomes hostile to you instead. The figures are magically coated in decorative material upon springing to life, such as icing on cookies or paint on leather. If the figures are made of cookie dough (or similar pastry), they're magically cooked once animated in this way. You decide the appearance of each figure when you create it, even if it doesn't resemble the shape of the cookie cutter itself. Regardless of its shape, it's always Tiny.
