Description

Physical Description. Dímos is a 5'7" man in reinforced leather armor overtop dark-red Hellian robes. His skin has a deep tan hue from years of harsh training in the sun. His long military service is apparent in his crooked nose and the large scar that slashes across his cheek.

Personality. Dímos holds himself with a shallow pride and is quick to react to percieved disrespect and mockery with anger. He is deeply frustrated that he hasn't gone up in rank for the past 10 years of his service in the Imperial army, believing himself worthy of much higher authority. Despite this, he cowers in the presence of his superiors and would never show his defiance outright. If he were given a legitimate opportunity to become the emperor himself, he would take it in a heartbeat.

Backstory. Dímos was born to a lower-class family in Ithios, a relatively large city in the Hellian Imperium. At a young age, he was acutely aware of his position as one of oi tapeinóteroi, "the humble." At the age of 16, he enlisted in the Imperial army, and quickly rose through the lower ranks. 10 years into his military career, he was appointed as a drongários - a commander of an infantry battalion, or dróngos. In perspective, this is an illustriously high position - only three ranks below the strategós - and he has amassed a lot of privilege and wealth from his exploits, but Dímos isn't satisfied.

"In life as in war, the stronger force wins."
