Legendary Necromancy Requires Attunement

The Doomblade is a +1 Magic Weapon that also can be used as a warlock spell focus.

While holding the blade, you gain a bonus to spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your Warlock spells. This bonus is the same as the blades magic weapon bonus.

Once per long rest, you can regain a warlock spell slot as an action while holding the blade.

Hit points lost to the blade's damage can be regained only through a short or long rest, rather than by regeneration, magic, or any other means.

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack from the blade, you can wound the target. At the start of each of the wounded creature's turns, it takes 1d4 necrotic damage for each time it has been wounded this way, and it can then make a DC 15 constitution saving throw, ending the effect of all such wounds on a success. Additionally the wounded creature, or a creature within 5 feet of it can make a DC 15 medicine check to end the effect of such wounds on a success.

This artifact can only be attuned to by a creature with the Raven Queen's approval, and acts as a normal weapon to anyone who is not attuned to it. If a creature without the Raven Queen's approval attempts to attune to the Doomblade, they fail, and must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw, taking 10d10 necrotic damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. This damagereduces the targets maximum health, and cannot be regained by any means other than short or long resting. If a creature already attuned to this object loses the Raven Queen's approval, they immediately lose attunement, and if holding the Doomblade when that happens suffer the same effects as if they were a creature without approval trying to attune to the blade.

The Doomblade is a hexblade of the Raven Queen, bestowed to Anadh'ris as a symbol of the pact she forged with him. It marks Anadh'ris as one of her chosen servants to her other followers, and is a powerful magic item. While the sword exists physically, it has no true form. Instead it takes whatever shape Anadh'ris wills it to.
