Dire Chuckwalla Leather

Trade Good

Uncommon

Tannable - Useable as leather, and in turn at times in various trades which use leather as a component.

The Chuckwalla is usually found at lower elevations, the normal version of the creature is known for its ability to puff up and hide in rock crevices. The Dire Chuckwalla is surprisingly smaller, when first encountered. Yet it is able to stretch itself up more than a hundred times its size to block up to an entire five foot corridor. They can additionally constrict themselves down to only a few inches in lenght for easy escapes. Finding one is easy, tracking it across the open desert is easy. But getting them out from a defended location, that's what makes it a special ingredient. The elasticity is key to the enchantment.

It requires a proficient Leatherworker to collect and prepare this hide.
