Choir of the Unliving

3-level Conjuration

Casting Time: 1 action
Range/Area: 60 feet
Components: V, S, M
Materials: the skull of a bard or minstrel
Duration: Instantaneous
A collection of skulls affixed to bones and elongated spines appear in a location you choose within range. The area of the skulls consists of up to five 10-foot cubes, which you can arrange as you wish. Each cube must have at least one face adjacent to the face of another cube. Each creature in the area must make a Wisdom saving throw. It takes 4d8 psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one, as the skulls chant or sing songs of doom, dread, mourning, and sorrow. The skulls then vanish. A creature who is deafened is immune to this spell.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you create one additional cube for each slot level above 3rd.
Available for: Bard, Necromancer, Wizard
