A shotgun from a bygone era with fascinating abilities of adaptation.
Should someone besides the attuned wielder attempt to use this gun they will receive 10d20 force damage.
The ammunition for this shotgun is the magic of its wielder. Magic crystals can also be used to fuel it in the place of its wielders magic.   This gun has 20 charges available if utilizing the wielder's magic alone. 5 extra charges and an extra damage dice to its attack will be added every 2nd level. If utilizing magic crystals the amount of charges available will vary dependent on the crystal. It is up to the DM's judgement how many extra charges will be added.   The gun can gain certain additional elemental damage per shot by either the insertion of magic crystals, elemental components, or a certain nature of magic from its wielder.   Additionally, the gun can be used to increase the range of a wielder's spells exponentially by imbuing the spell into the gun. If the wielder chooses to do this, a charge will be used up. In which case the piercing damage will be dealt, but the variable elemental damage will be replaced by whatever effect the intended spell is meant to have.  

Extra Abilities

  Sniper
This mode can be activated with an action. The gun will convert into the form of a sniper rifle and gain a significant increase in range.   Burst
Additional damage can be dealt by utilizing multiple charges at once.
Ex. Up to 20d12 + 20d6 of variable elemental damage can be dealt if all charges are used at once at the gun's base ability.
