Uncommon Requires Attunement

You have resistance to lightning damage while wearing this metal pauldron. Whenever you take a cumulative 10 points of lightning damage while wearing the pauldron, you gain a special die, called a Dash Die, which is a d8. You can only have one Dash Die at a time. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to roll the Dash Die and immediately move a number of feet equal to 5 times the number rolled. The die is then lost.

Lightning struck, time and again, hammering the army that poured towards the mountain peak. Before them stood the last of the stormbound druids, a desperate circle throwing all they had to buy themselves crucial time.


A ragged cheer rose from them as the soldiers split, falling back before the squall. But from the gap charged a lone figure, black armor offset by a pauldron of azure and gold. The druid's spells arced towards him, but even as his cape burned to ash from the bolts, the sparks trailing from him formed a cloak of light.




The warrior's steps quickened, his enemies' strikes only adding to his uncanny momentum. Their newfound fortitude turned to desperation, then desperation to terror.




And then he was among them, whirling with the power stolen from their storm.
