You lock onto a target's shadow and sink into your own. Make a constitution saving throw. On success, you appear in the target shadow and gain sneak attack bonus of 1d6 on your next attack roll against the target. On fail, take 1d4 shadow damage as you begin to lose your soul to the shadows.

At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, sneak attack bonus increases by 1d6 per slot level above 1st.
