A compass used by those who serve death herself... they do not take kindly to losing their tools of the trade.

A very old compass inside of an otherwise nondescript wooden case.
Inside the face of the compass is covered with runes resembling the script of the dead.
Ordinarily, the compass points north, however, if the attuned holds the compass and concentrates on a person or soul-infused object for one minute the compass will point in approximately that direction until the lid is closed.
The closer the subject is, the more accurately the compass will point.
The compass can be used this way 3 times per long rest.
