You psychically reach into a creature’s mind and attempt to crush its consciousness. The target must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 5d10 psychic damage and becomes incapacitated and unable to move or speak for the duration, though it is still aware of its surroundings. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and suffers none of the spell’s other effects. At the end of each of the affected creature’s turns, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the spell for itself on a success.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 6th. The creatures must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
