Bestow Malediction

5-level Abjuration

Materials: a shard of a mirror you broke
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You touch a creature. That creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become cursed for the duration of the spell. When you cast the spell, choose the nature of the curse from the following options:
  • While cursed, the target has disadvantage on saving throws.
  • While cursed, the target has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls.
  • While cursed, all attacks and spells deal an additional 1d8 necrotic damage to the target.
If remove curse is cast on the target, the creature that cast remove curse must make an ability check using its spellcasting ability against your spell save DC. If it succeeds, the spell ends. Otherwise, the remove curse fails to end the spell’s curse.   At the DM’s option, you may choose an alternative curse effect, but it should be no more powerful than those described above. The DM has final say on such a curse’s effect.
