Jinyu

The jinyu, originating from murlocs fortunate enough to inhabit the enchanted pools of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, evolved into a great ancient culture in Pandaria. They worshiped the August Celestials, gaining knowledge and guidance in return. The jinyu had a prosperous empire ruling Pandaria from the Vale. However, they faced a devastating defeat at the hands of the mogu, leading to their enslavement. They played a vital role in the Pandaren Revolution, and after its success, they apparently swore allegiance to the pandaren emperors. The jinyu harbor a longstanding feud with the hozen, rooted in betrayal during the war against the Thunder King. This betrayal resulted in the jinyu's defeat, shaping their distrust of outsiders and ongoing conflict with the hozen. Throughout various expansions, the jinyu have been involved in alliances and conflicts, aligning with the Alliance during Mists of Pandaria and facing challenges such as corruption in Krasarang Wilds.
