Midra

Midra are draconic humanoids with wings and are capable of growing horns, fins, and rarely fur. They are capable of harnessing the aether as a breath weapon. They have an innate casting capability to make themselves able to use their wings to fly

The Only Thing Stronger than Muscle is Family

Midra have an immense focus on family. Orphans are often outcast due to their typically non-existant familial ties. Often times, your social status is determined by the status of your parents, starting a ruthless cycle imfamous for being neigh unescapable.

Not-so-humble craftsmen

Given their proficiency in mining and crafting, it's no suprise that flaunting wealth isn't just a way to show status, but part of ones status. A midra can be rich, but wont be considered rich unless they wear expinsive clothing and jewelry. As such, it is easy to feign wealth by just having nice clothes. On top of that, they boast about things they craft like they are their own children.

Subrace

There are 3 subraces of Midra: Softscale, Koatal, and Toughscale Midras.

Softscale Midra

Softscale Midra are born weaker than your typical Midra. They are less strong overall, smaller, and have soft scales - hence the name. Due to their weaker stature, they are often casters or bowmen. Softscale is often used as an insult among Midra, but there is no discrimination to softscale Midra.   Frail: Your qualities make you wield weapons with the heavy property as though your size was small.   Speed: Your movement speed is 40ft.   Powerful Aether: For some reason, softscale Midra have much more powerful breath weapons. Your breath weapon is increased to a 30ft cone, and deals d8s instead of d6s.

Koatal Midra

The ancient Midran word for "Simple"; Koatal Midra are the basic variation of midra - what you think when you hear "Midra".   Speed: Your movement speed is 30ft.   Devouring Aether: Koatal Midra have the truest channeling of the aether, so their breath weapons take on the life-devouring properties of the it. Your breath weapon gains the following: If a creature in the radius of your passes the saving throw, they take no damage. If a creature is in the radius of your breath weapon, they take 1d6 appropriate damage at the beggining of their turn for the next minute. Creatures affected by this can make an action to make a con save to get rid of this effect.

Toughscale Midra

Toughscale Midra were born with extra strong bodies. They are larger, heavier, and have thick, coarse scales.   Speed: your movement speed is 20ft.   Bulky: You are a hulking menace. You can ignore the Two-handed property on all weapons but Midra Ceremonial Swords. You also gain a permanent +1 to AC due to the natural armor of your scales.   Projectile Aether: your breath weapon instead launches a mote of aether up to 30ft away. This mote explodes in a radius of 10ft and deals the same damage as usual.
