Mournful Veil

Wondrous Item

Legendary Requires Attunement

The Mournful Veil is a beautiful tiara veil headpiece with an intriacte floral design and housing a number of beautiful red and black gewels adowing it. The fabric of the veil itself is rather short and can easily be tucked ot of the way under the flowers of the rest of the tiara to make it more of a crown look.

Sentiance. The Mournful Veil is inhabited by the spirit of an ancient human who died during the Calamity. The being is a Lawful Neutral enity with an Inteligance of 16, a Wisdom of 22 and a Charisma of 13. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. It can also see into the Etherial Realm.

The Veil communicates telepathically with its wielder and can speak, read, and understand Common and an Unknown Ancient Language used, seemingly only by her and her sailor counterparts from old.

Personality. The Mournful Veil houses the soul of a being that goes by the name Nightengale. She is a being who's ship suddenly appeared on the battlefeild of the calamity. During which time, her and her compatriots were taken to the winter archon, tortured and killed. Somehow, her spirit remains in her veil and persists. She seeks out her god, Corvus, who she says, a fragment of him ventured with her to this world it appears. She seeks him out now that she is finally free of the mountain. The most noticable tell for her deities presence is a golden skull door handel that appears anywhere in the world.
