Nano-Mist Dispersion Adverse and Strange Effects Table

Roll the Dice
Nanobot Overdensity: The mist becomes too thick, reducing visibility to 0 feet within its area and causing any in it to cough uncontrollably, giving them disadvantage on attack rolls until they leave the cloud.
Nanobot Scatter: The nanobots spread erratically. Instead of a single 20-foot sphere, you get 2d4 smaller 5-foot radius spheres dispersed randomly within the casting range.
Malfunctioning Nanobots: Some nanobots spark and malfunction, causing 1d4 lightning damage to any creature entering the cloud for the first time or starting its turn there.
Static Interference: The nanobots create a field of static. Any electronic or cybernetic device within the cloud malfunctions and is rendered useless until exiting the mist.
Loud Buzzing: The nanobots emit a high-pitched buzzing sound. The noise gives away the location of anything moving inside it, negating the advantage for being hidden within the mist.
Nano-Stickiness: The nanobots become sticky. Any creature moving through the mist has its movement speed halved for its next turn due to the clinging nanobots.
Refractive Anomalies: The mist causes light to refract strangely, creating misleading illusions. Anyone inside or looking through the mist is disoriented, suffering disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks.
Enhanced Concealment: (Beneficial) The nanobots adapt to conceal creatures even better. Any creature within the mist has total cover from attacks made by creatures outside of it.
Self-Replicating Nanobots: (Beneficial) The nanobots self-replicate to maintain density. The duration of the mist is doubled.
Glowing Nanobots: The nanobots emit a phosphorescent glow. While this provides light, it also makes creatures within the mist outlined and visible. All creatures in the mist have advantage on attack rolls against them, but can also see clearly within the cloud.
