On a hit, the target gets caught with rod's hook, takes 1d6 slashing damage and gets pulled 5 feet in a straight line toward you. Once caught, on each of your turns for the duration, you can use your attack action to make an opposing Strength check with your target, when successful, you deal 1d6 slashing damage to the target automatically and pull them 5 feet in a straight line toward you.
The catch ends if you use your action to do anything else, or if the target wins an opposing Strength check. The catch also ends if the target is ever outside the rod's max range (90 feet). A creature can use its Action to make a DC 12 Strength check, freeing itself or another creature within its reach on a success. The hook of the rod comes back to you when your target is no longer caught.
