Bloodletting Blade

Weapon

Legendary Requires Attunement

On a successful strike with the hilt, the creature makes a Constitution save. On fail, blood is extracted from the creature to form the blade, dealing an extra 2d10 damage.

Additionally, the sword can be broken off in a creature, which will explode on command. If the creature fails the Con save, then it will take 2d8 damage. 3d8+3 if the target is the same creature the blood was taken from.

The weapon of Harkin, the hilt contains no blade. Instead, with the aid of the magically infused Gem, it takes the blood of another and forms it into a long blade.

This Blood Blade, while sharp enough to be used as a conventional sword, can be dislodged into a creature, and will explode into bloody shards within the poor sod. And it only amplifies when the blade is lodged within the bloods original owner
