Materials: Coin sized piece of steel
Duration: 10 + proficiency bonus in rounds
Damage/Effect: necrotic and magical slashing
Creates a sharp, serrated whip equal parts shadowfel and steel. The steel and shadow rods progressively decrease in size from the cold metal lash to the tip of the qilinbian.
As an action, (or using an additional action at disadvantage) the magician make a 20"/60" ranged attack using the qilinbian whip to strike a target. If successful qilinbian inflicts the following:
At higher levels: - 2d8 necrotic damage and 2d8 magical slashing damage + proficiency bonus in damage either necrotic or magical slashing damage as chosen by the magician
- Magician's choice medium sized or smaller targets is pulled towards the magician equal to 2x proficiency bonus in feet
- Magician's choice large sized target is pulled towards the magician equal to 1x proficiency bonus in feet
- Magician's choice the target makes a DC strength or wisdom savings throw (target uses the lower) or be restrained until end of targets next turn
- the concentration effect come into effect, with concentration checks (if required) rolled separately for each qilinbian
- to use both to attack, the magician must use an attack action and the additional action
- If cast at 5th level, damage die increases from d8 to d10
- If cast at 6th level, damage die increases from d8 to d12
