Description

Diederick William-Spy is a young Spy in his mid-twenties. He has long, flowing black hair and a face that often seems disgruntled. Many believe him to be the rightful ruler of the Imperial Spy Empire and thus, he has a large following.

Ideals

Diederick William-Spy is unsure of duties as emperor. He was thrown into the position ten years ago when he was just a boy. He would prefer to live a laidback life, but is slowly coming to terms with his duties.

Bonds

Diederick is loyal to his people and will do his best to protect them. He also has a close bond with Stilts Rumpelakk and Lauren Bright-Sun who serve as his mentors.

Flaws

Sometimes Diederick wishes he didn't have the duties of an emperor, often affecting his work.


God Incarnate. When Diederick drops below 10% of his maximum hit points, or if he is hit by an attack that would normally drop him to 0 hit points while he is above 10% of his maximum hit points, he transforms into a black wolf and regains all of his lost hit points. While in his wolf form, Diederick has a different set of actions in which he can use. His speed is increased to 50ft and passive Perception to 16, but his AC is dropped to 13 (natural armor).   Keen Hearing and Smell. While in wolf form, Diederick has advantage on Perception checks that rely on hearing or smell.   Pack Tactics. While in wolf form, Diederick has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of his allies is within 5ft of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.   Pounce. While in wolf form, if Diederick moves at least 20ft straight towards a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, Diederick can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.

Actions

Multiattack. Diederick makes two longsword attacks. If he has a shortsword drawn, he can also make a shortsword attack.   Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 1d20+6 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) 1d8+4 slashing damage, or 9 (1d10+4) 1d10+4 slashing damage if used with two hands.   Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 1d20+6 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 7 (1d6+4) 1d6+4 piercing damage.   Heavy Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 1d20+3 to hit, range 100/400, one target. Hit: 6 (1d10+1) 1d10+1 piercing damage.   Wolf Form:   Multiattack. Diederick makes one bite attack and two claw attacks.   Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 1d20+6 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 10 (2d6+4) 2d6+4 piercing damage.   Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 1d20+6 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) 1d8+4 slashing damage.

Reactions

Pommel Hit. Whenever an enemy fails to meet Diederick's AC during an attack roll, Diederick can use his reaction to hit the enemy with the pommel of his sword, dealing 6 (1d4+4) 1d4+4 bludgeoning damage.
