Features

Sated Appetite

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you no longer feel hunger, you don’t need to eat or drink, and you don’t suffer any penalties for not eating or drinking. If you are a darakhul, you gain the full benefits of your Undead Resilience, even if you haven’t consumed 1 pound of raw meat in the last 24 hours.  

Weaponized Hunger

At 3rd level, you have learned to use your bite to great effectiveness. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with your bite, you can spend 1 ki point to deal extra necrotic damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die. If the attack roll is a critical hit, you gain temporary hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt for 1 hour.  

Feed the Hungry

Beginning at 6th level, you can share some of your inner peace with another creature, healing its wounds and quelling its hunger for a time. As an action, you can spend 1 ki point to restore hit points to a creature you touch. The creature regains hit points equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die + your Wisdom modifier. You can spend up to 2 additional ki points to increase the amount of hit points restored. For each additional point you spend, the creature regains hit points equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die. This feature can restore a creature to no more than half its hit point maximum. A creature healed in this way is provided with enough nourishment to sustain it for one day.  

Sated Clarity

At 11th level, your mastery of your hunger grants you greater clarity and awareness. You have advantage on initiative rolls, and you can spend 4 ki points to cast life sense.  

Induce Hunger

At 17th level, you can turn the energy of your sated hunger into a ravenous hunger that afflicts a creature who dares to strike you. When a creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to induce hunger in the attacker. If you do, spend 5 ki points to make the attacker take necrotic damage equal to your Wisdom modifier, and it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be incapacitated by overwhelming hunger until the end of its next turn. You can’t use this feature on creatures that don’t need to eat, such as constructs, elementals, and many undead.
