A reanimated’s lifespan is indefinite, able to continue living as long as its own body holds.

The procedure to create a reanimated can leave one’s mind and body altered in unpredictable ways. Acreature that becomes a reanimated usually changes into a chaotic alignment if it wasn’t one before.

Your character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character.

Creature Type. You are a Construct. Size. You are Medium or Small. You choose the size whenyou gain this lineage. Ancestral Legacy. If you replace a race with a reanimated, you can keep the following elements of that race: any skill proficiencies you gained from it and any climbing, flying, or swimming speed you gained from it. If you don't keep any of those elements or you choose to be an animated at character creation, you gain proficiency in two skills of your choice. Lightning Absorption. You have immunity to lightning damage. Additionally, when you take lightning damage, you can use your reaction to regain a number of hit points equal to the lightning damage dealt. You must finish a long rest before you can use this benefit again. Living Machine. Your creator designed you to benefit from several spells that preserve life but that normally don't affect Constructs: cure wounds, healing word, mass cure wounds, mass healing word, and spare the dying. Reconstructed Nature. You were created from a hodgepodge of different body parts, represented by the following benefits:
