Talon

Weapon

Very Rare

This originally mundane rapier was empowered into a hexblade by Myster Eazy E's deal with the demon Thraxxia and later enhanced further with the power of the Black Quintus Gem.   While holding this sword, you can use a bonus action to cause rocks to cover it, increasing the damage die to 1d12. While the sword is covered in rock, you can use a bonus action to make a ranged attack (20/60 ft.) against a creature by throwing the rocks. Alternatively, if you are a warlock, you can use an action to throw the rocks as part of the Eldritch Burst spell. This spell has a 120 ft range and forces any creature within a 20 ft radius to make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, taking 2d10 force damage on a failure, or half as much on a success.   If you are wielding a shield, you can use a bonus action to cover your shield in rocks to provide yourself half cover. The outward facing side of this shield bears an arcane eye surrounded by Abyssal runes, which you can look through. This eye has darkvision to a range of 120 ft. and can see through magical darkness. Only Talon or a shield can be covered by rocks at once. If you cover the opposing item, the rocks fall to the ground harmlessly from the current one.   Finesse. When making an attack with a finesse weapon, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.
