Mimic

Mimics are strange predators that assumed the form of mundane furnishings and household objects in order to attract prey. They can assume any shape, provided that they retained the same volume. In order to most effectively lure adventurers, they most commonly took the shape of doors, chests, and other objects likely to be touched. Their skin texture and color could change to almost perfectly resemble wood, stone, metal, and other basic materials.

Imposed Presence You attempt to dominate a creature or mobile object that you can ride upon their head.   The creature must make a wisdom saving throw against your spell DC. On their Success you cannot impose on a creature, and is thrown off. On their failure you take total and precise control of the target.   The creature takes only the actions you choose, and doesn't do anything that you don't allow it to do. During this time you can also cause the creature to use a reaction, but this requires you to use your own reaction as well. Their hitpoints become your temporary hit points. You must use the creatures Dex and Strength modifiers, for checks and saves that require them. Their senses become yours, although muted slightly. You also gain any racial features that can be used, but class features and the creature's magic can not be used.   Each time the target takes damage, it makes a new wisdom saving throw against the domination. If the saving throw succeeds, the imposement ends.

Impose Mind You Attempt to create a telepathic link with a creature under the effects of Impose Presence.   Using your action you can create a bridge between your mind and the imposed creature's mind. Allowing for telepathic communication, as well as access to deeper psychological knowledge (to the discretion of the DM).   If the effects of Impose Presence are interrupted, Impose mind is disconnected as well.
When a creature is dominated by imposed Presence, certain physical features occur on them.
  • The eyes become the same turquoise gem colour as the band on the hat.
  • That same colour is also imposed on any magical-ish items that they are carrying.
  • Anything said while imposed comes through as though the creature is speaking it.
