Glasswork Pendant

Spellcasting Focus

Uncommon Requires Attunement

Soulbound. Cannot be traded or sold.

Description

This pendant was crafted with the crystalline core of a Glasswork Golem. It radiates a pure white light in a small area, rejuvenating its wearer and filling them with a sense of peace.

+1 to your spell attacks and spell save DC.

Radiance.

As an action, you may concentrate on the pendant to cause a brilliant light to radiate from you in a fifteen foot radius, and dim light for another fifteen feet for up to one minute. Hostile creatures within the thirty foot radius must make a Wisdom save equal to your Spell Save DC or be blinded. Creatures blinded in this way may make another save at the end of their turn.

Additionally, if any part of the light overlaps an area of darkness created by a third level spell or lower, the spell that created the darkness is dispelled.

This feature may be used once per short rest.

Optional

If the optional materials have been used when crafting the Glasswork Pendant, it gains the following:

Clarity.

Prerequisite: 1 unit of Stellar Iron, 3 units of Aerocrystal

At the end of your turn, all allies within the radius of Radiance gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency modifier.

Brilliance.

Prerequisite: 3 units of Aerocrystal

Hostile creatures within the radius of and affected by Radiance take radiant damage equal to your proficiency modifier on a failed save.

Shatter.

Prerequisite: All previous components, as well as 3 units of Spiritual Wood.

You may, as an action, cause Radiance to intensify. All hostile creatures within its radius must make a new Wisdom save against your Spell Save DC or take radiant damage equal to twice your proficiency modifier. Additionally, allies within the radius of Radiance immediately regain hit points equal to your proficiency modifier. At the end of your turn, Radiance ends.

Gathering Materials

Stellar Iron.

Stellar Iron can be found in a region in which a meteorite has fallen. The meteorite may be located with a successful Hard Skill Challenge to either follow the trail of rumour to a recently fallen meteorite, or investigate a historical sighting. After finding a meteorite, roll 1d100. On a 26-100, the meteorite is untouched; on a 2-25 you catch another party in the process of harvesting the meteorite; on a 1 the meteorite has already been harvested, or the rumours led you astray. You may harvest one unit of Stellar Iron per successful skill challenge.

Aerocrystal.

Aerocrystal is found in regions of high elemental activity. You may attempt to harvest Aerocrystal from any creature in such a region by succeeding on a Hard Skill Challenge to locate areas of Air Elemental activity. The encounter must come from !terrain or your daily !r 6d100 "Below 26 means !table wilderness" wilderness encounter checks. You may harvest up to one Aerocrystal per encounter

Alternatively, you may attempt to summon and bargain with an Air Elemental for Aerocrystal. To do this, you must succeed on a Hard Skill Challenge involving Arcana, Nature, and Charisma, and expend material components worth at least 500gp. Failure results in combat with the summoned elemental, and loss of the components. You may gain advantage in this Skill Challenge by expending a Contact to work with a shaman familiar with the ritual. You may bargain for up to three Aerocrystal per successful ritual.

Spiritual Wood.

Spiritual Wood must be gathered from a forest under the care of Wood Elves, and harvested under the supervision of an Elder lest you incur their wrath. To gain the supervision of an Elder, you must succeed on a Hard Skill Challenge using Persuasion. Spiritual Wood can be harvested after an encounter from !terrain or your daily !r 6d100 "Below 26 means !table wilderness" wilderness encounter checks. If you do not have the supervision of a Wood Elf Elder, you must roll 1d100 after an attempt to harvest Spiritual wood. On a 25 or lower, you encounter 1d4 Wood Elves and one Wood Elf Druid who are hostile towards you. You may harvest one Spiritual Wood per encounter, or two if you kill a Treant or Awakened Tree (A Wood Elf Elder will not permit this, and will turn Hostile if you attack one under their supervision).
