Ratman

Deep in the belly of every hive city, under every sewer grating, and rummaging through every pile of rubble, is said to be a ratman. These selfish creatures are known to scavenge wherever they can, and are unwanted by most civilized societies. They form small gangs of ratmen, bound together by the fragile hope of a meal or loot, and raid overworld cities in an attempt to survive in the increasingly mechanistic worlds they find themselves in. Left unperturbed, ratmen tend to never be able to form societies and flourish, as constant inbreeding and civil wars keep their populations down. Listed as one of the biggest nuisances to the Imperium alongside mutants, xeno, and heretics, these ratmen can be found negotiating with any xenos (if they listen to ratmen), living amongst mutants (if they tolerate ratmen), and dealing with the factions of chaos (if they do not kill ratmen). Ratmen are the most depraved, despicable, and lowest form of life the galaxy has to offer.
