Blank

Blanks are soulless humans born with a unique power that causes them to be resistant to the powers of the warp. Sometimes called pariahs, nulls, or untouchables, these humans possess the rare “Pariah Gene,” which is estimated to occur within one out of a billion humans. People that spend time around blanks feel an uneasy presence emanating from them. Due to this, many blanks are outcasts from their society, or die at a young age due to being exiled. Blanks are a natural anathema to the warp, psykers, and daemons by their very existence. As such, they are in high demand for inquisitors, the Imperial Guard, or other military factions that fight against the forces of Chaos or psykers once they are discovered.   Within the Imperium, some blanks that are discovered early are indoctrinated to become one of the Temple Assassins, the Culexus, where their anti-psychic abilities are honed to a fine point. There exists a small enclave known as the Sisters of Silence on Terra that accepts female blanks into their ranks to fight against the threats that erupt around Terra.
