I'm creating a world based on gijinka (humanisations) of various plant taxa, especially fern allies & gymnosperms. Fungi, lichens, algae, insects & other animals also feature.   The world is set in the mid Paleocene (60 million years ago) on an alternative version of Earth known as Foliest. Numerous plants extinct on Earth coexist with more modern forms, tended to by fairies which are personifications of the different plant Orders. Magic is a key part of the setting, but is low-impact in nature, and the stories focus on the ordinary lives, ambitions & difficulties of the main characters.
