AJ Smith was probably born sometime in the 20th century and probably somewhere within the Milky Way galaxy. Exact time and places have been lost to indifference, shame and ennui. Raised in the midwest of the United States until he was was of some age or another, AJ then moved to elsewhere in midwest of the United States. It was a big change and some believe he is still recovering from the cultural shock of being surrounded by Soy Beans instead of Corn. 
AJ attended college in in this new midwest town and learned the utterly useless and boring subjects of Philosophy and English. He put his degree to good use by going to work for a publishing company... in the IT department. There he has not flourished even slightly. He does an adequate job, really just good enough to keep him employed.
After an unfortunate accident involving a toothless shark, a bowl of runny butterscotch pudding and enough radiation energy to power a toaster, AJ was hit with a slew of ideas for fun, imaginative and completely pointless stories to tell. AJ is currently writing his first novel about pirate monkeys that team up with their ancient foes, the order of poor leprachauns, to defeat a band of rouge space peacocks bent on taking over the world. It is likely to be his last as well.
