Hello There!

A. J. Novel is my pen name. I am a Christian, a Colorado native and a writer since 2018, so I don't have that much experience. I have over 20 story/series ideas penned in some place or other. None of those are finished, lol. Anyway, I am using Word Anvil to help with my world building skills (which need work), and as a fun tool to kinda leave a little part of me somewhere. I love horses and cats, but if I ever get a pet, it will probably be a snake. I am also a loud and proud Latin American; plus, basketball, am i right? I love that sport. One more thing to mention is that I am a huge bookworm and have read over 30 book series. I hope to publish my own books one day (and maybe travel the States in a small RV!).

Interests & Hobbies

I don't have many other interests than writing and reading. Basketball, drawing, and sewing are all in this category. Cooking is more of a chore than an interest, but I do want to continue my culinary knowledge. The only other interest I have is learning languages. I already speak fluent Spanish and I am currently tackling French. After that, I think I'd like to study Italian, then Portuguese, then Irish Gaelic, and then maybe German.

Favorite Movies

My top three favorite movie series (because, really, can you ever just pick individuals?) are: Harry Potter (even when the books are way better the Jason Bourne movies (again, the books are better and Star Wars (because, duh). One of my favorite original Disney movies is Peter Pan; but a more modern favorite is probably Luca. But a movie I go back to a lot is Rise Of The Guardians (even more now that I know that it's based on books!). The last movie series that holds a special place in my heart is the Kung Fu Panda series. I love those movies so much!

Favorite TV Series

Right now I have been on a Legend Of Korra streak. I also enjoy the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. I'll admit, I really like cooking shows, so here's three: Bake Squad; Final Table; and The Great British Baking Show.

Favorite Books

Oh. My. Gosh. I have so many! Too many actually, but I'll try to keep this list short, starting with the series I most like wih the one I'm currently not a fan of but still like reading. Here goes.

First of all, my absolute, favorite series of all time is Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger. The one to follow is the Swipe series by Evan Angler. Next, I really, really enjoy the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer; on the same level as that series is the Jason Bourne series by Robert Ludlum (first three) and Eric Van Lustbader (the rest). Of course, one of my favs is the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. I like both the Magnus Chase series and Percy Jackson series, both by Rick Riordan (though I will say, I like Percy Jackson a lot more). After Rick Riordan, I think that some of my more occasional reads are by James Riley. I am just reading Fablehaven and I am sure it'll be a good book. And there you go!

Favorite Writers

Well, if by writer you mean author, then those are pretty much covered in the Favorite Books section. If not, well, then I'm not sure. Does C. S. Lewis count?

Favorite Games

My top favorite game is chess. Following that, I really enjoy Bananagrams, Scrabble, and Apples to Apples. One of my favorite games is Body, Body, an irl game similar to Among Is. I do not like to play video games. I think my favorite kinds of games are word games or games that involve spelling. I am that type of person.
