Galactic Highway
Roads
Goldstreams
The most used highway type, goldstreams are used exclusively for the general public. Going to work? Going home? Seeing a friend on a distant planet? You'll be taking the goldstream. This type of highway is made of golden stardust, with twenty lanes.
Silverstreams
Silverstreams are the other of the two public highway types. They are less common than goldstreams and are used for transporting cargo, whether it be resources, people, animals, or anything else. This type of highway is made of silver stardust, with eight lanes twice the width of goldstream lanes.
Bronzestreams
Bronzestreams are the only highway type that is privately used. Bronzestreams cut through different dimensions to pop out in locations far from where they originally were, and this highway type is used by law enforcers. It makes life much easier for these law enforcers when trying to catch fugitives, as they can cross dimensions and can pop out right in front of the criminals.
Construction
The Galactic Highway was constructed millions and millions of years ago. Before this there were general paths people followed to get through space in the most efficient way possible, but no actual highway or road had ever been established. When primordial jelly was the traditional fuel for spacecrafts the leftovers formed rudimentary pathways guiding people in different directions.
The Highway was built in three hundred years, roughly seventeen million years ago. It was build with three different types of stardust; gold, silver, and bronze stardust. As soon as construction started, information on the highway was distributed on Utopia, so travellers knew the laws put in place for the Galactic Highway.
I like the different classifications of highways. They're very interesting.
Thank you so much! :D
