Scope
The motivation behind building Vazdimet
Vazdimet exists to explore the intersection of my engineering background and my love of fantasy, where magic is rooted in science and technology, and death doesn't have to be the end. I write fun magical space adventures that explore interpersonal relationships in a hazard-filled universe with different rules and different species, showing that, deep down, everyone is just doing their best with what they've got, that we're not so different from each other after all, and that it takes a strong person to admit to their own humanity.
The goal of the project
I am currently working toward publishing my debut novel, which will also Vazdimet's debut. It's the first book in a series and I want to get it right and off to a strong start so we can keep building from there. I plan to have the entire five books ready to go in three month publishing intervals to really ride the Amazon algorithm, and build a solid foundation to Vazdimet's fan base. I hope to build a sustainable platform, enough to cover more than my expenses, and let me keep pouring my heart and soul into this universe despite the time commitments toward my day job and my family.
I want to get Vazdimet out into the world so others can enjoy these stories, not just mine but also Emy's and our collaborations, and so I can use whatever platform I build to help my other writing friends, and buy more art from my artist friends, all while relying less on my day job.
Vazdimet's Unique Selling point
In Vazdimet, the concepts of Magic and technology intertwine, blurring the lines between life and the Afterlife. The universe is full of magic and marvel, readily harnessed by those willing to push the boundaries between what is known, and what is possible.

Characters have great agency in the world, and people banding together to enact change have great chances of succeeding in a measurable and lasting way. A single person will not change the universe solo, but they can change their corner of the universe, or inspire others to form a movement with a lasting impact.
