How are we to beat the armies of mankind on the field of battle when theirs is the Lord of War, master of strategy and tactics? It would take a military genius to ensure our victory against such divine guidance.

Inivél, the Lord of War, is the second-born child of the Lady of Life, Heláia, according to the Pantheon of the Dawn. He was formed from ash and oak to act as a god of ambition, war, and perseverance following his mother’s creation of the geprati. Inivél possessed the defining traits of mankind and therefore it was his responsibility to care for the young species so that it could rise to greatness and build strong and enduring civilisations. Although he was meant to look after mankind, there are very few humans who actually worship him or the rest of the pantheon.

We’ve travelled the world and seen how effective monarchs rule over their subjects, how peasants take up arms to crush their ineffective leaders, and how lands fall and recover from disasters. The experiences and knowledge of the humans should not simply be ignored as our people suffer and our leaders cower.

It is unclear from the ancient records whether or not Inivél was known to the alcheni prior to establishing first contact with mankind in 1244 BA. Either they knew him earlier as their Lord of War, only later realising the similarities between Inivél and the humans, or they learned of his existence from the rest of the gods once the two species had encountered one another.
Since the fall of the great imperiums of old, Inivél has risen in popularity. People have seen the immense success and prosperity that the humans have garnered over the long centuries and hope that through devotion to Inivél and his ideals, they too can rebuild alchen civilisation to match those of humanity.

Cult of Inivél

Followers of Inivél can be found nearly everywhere where those faithful to the pantheon can be found, but an unusually high concentration of them is present in the city of Dirth’ela. Lots of them are avid travellers who explore the world, experiencing what the various realms of humans have to offer, bringing the knowledge they’ve gained back home.
There are some who view the Inivél cult in a negative light and accuse them of being far too influenced by foreign customs and faiths, but the vast majority care little about the activities of the cult and its members.
