Albert Harris is the 2nd and current Grand Duke of Ärli. Before his coronation, he led raids against the tribes of the Patic grassland.

At the age of six, Crown Prince Albert Harris was sent to the Military Academy of Alden where he studied the art of war and leadership under the tutelage of a retired Saralian officer, Riho Akel. In 1564, when Harris was 16 years old, the academy required the students to compleate a final assignemt that would determine weather or not they would graduate. While most began to do research in obsolete millitary tactics, Harris had more ambitious plans.
Over the years he had discovered his talent for public speaking and although he suffered from severe anxiety before speaking to strangers, he made a plan to convince people to form a company of brave soldiers and with these men he wished to defeat an aggressive tribe in the Western Ridge near Rean Len.
By the 3rd of Tvenor, 1565, Harris was ready. He had 150 men armed with shields and spears and plenty of supplies. Harris' Band encountered the hostile tribe on the 21st of Hillberis and in the ensuing Battle for the Ridge Harris resoundingly crushed his enemy, forcing the tribe to flee back to the Patic grassland. When Harris and his men returned with the spoils of war, the academy decided to give him a premature graduation and an offer to join the Aldenian Army as a high ranking officer.

Service in the Aldenian Army
Lieutenant Albert Harris was given a Platoon of heavily armed veterans stationed in a small town a few miles south-west of Rean Len. In the late summer of 1565, Harris was given his first real mission. His platoon was to ride to the Western Ridge and prepare for a large invasion. The intelligence he received was off however and by the time he arrived, the area was already overrun by mounted skirmishers. Seeing this as an opportunity rather than a failure, Harris and the platoon went searching for a good ambush location.On the 3rd of Nivlayavar the platoon ambushed a far larger unit of mounted skirmishers and at the end of the day, they had used the terrain to nullify the advantages of their foes horses. The Aldenian victory discouraged an immediate invasion and thus gave the armies of the Stone Shore an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming attack. The invading horde was powerless to invade a prepared enemy and so they called the whole thing off. Lieutenant Albert Harris was awarded the honorary title Warden of the Ridge, for his efforts in keeping the invaders away.
Regent of Ärli
Half a year after the Defence of the Ridge in the spring of 1566, Harris returned back to Telliski after receiving a message regarding his fathers failing health. Upon arriving the court declared him the regent and a public announcement was made declaring that Grand Duke Lembitu Harris was bedridden and that his son was now in charge of the state. This regency ended on the 14th of Fennor when the old Grand Duke died.Grand Duke of Ärli
