Darc: Full History

Childhood

Darc was born in Lord. His parent's, (names here), had trouble getting the required medication to have a child since his mother was a HavocBreaker and the Vondren government would have arrested her had they gone about it through normal means. So instead they got less that reputable medication from Vullavual Laud. Because of this his shell was a bit too thin and needed extra care. But his parent's were determined.
With all the worry and fuss, and desperately wanting a child, its no surprise that Darc became very spoiled. He got everything he wanted and was pretty lazy, wanting nothing more than to be doted on and told stories of his parent's adventures at the start of the Medical Renaissance. Inspired by these tales of adventure and romance Darc decided to try his hand at becoming a doctor. His parents didn't want him to leave, afraid for his health, but they just couldn't tell him no either.

Medical School

Unfortunately for Darc, the Cuhcil University of the Medical Sciences was not the sort of school to spoil you unless you were exceptionally gifted. Darc only barely passed the entrance exam and was a terrible student. Often skipping class and using his enrollment mostly to help him pick up girls when he was visiting his parents.
After his first month he realized he was going to get kicked out if he didn't start taking things seriously. One of his friends, Jordan Ebba, tried to help him out by introducing him to a classmate, Jloria Nijhd. Jloria had been tutoring Jordan and agreed to help Darc as well.
They had to share the room they were using for tutoring with an upperclassman named Crizdov Clarroy, who didn't seem to like them being there. Crizdov was messing with a drug called Oracle, trying to make a medication out of it that would help people focus. Darc thought it would be a useful thing to have while studying, so suggested they help. Crizdov reluctantly agreed, since he didn't have as much time to work on his project as he'd have liked. So Darc, Jloria, and Jordan spent that year and most of the next refining what they came to call Vision. Darc learned much more about chemistry than he would have otherwise because of this and managed to keep his grades up, focusing on that as his major. He came to enjoy spending time with this new group of friends and even found the abrasiveness of Crizdov amusing.
Unfortunately all good things must come to and end and Jordan's dad, a professor at the school, caught wind of their project and shut it down. Apparently student's weren't allowed to practice medicine without supervision. Since Darc's grades were poor to average, and he didn't have family on the staff, he deiced he had to cut ties with the group if he wanted to stay in school.
Ultimately it was for nothing though, as he dropped out near the end of his last year, finding the finals to be just too stressful.

Traveling Doctor

Once free from school Darc went back home feeling like a failure but having a better idea of what the world was like outside of his parent's control. He got a job at a pharmacy making medicines. His boss was impressed with his work and suggested he open his own apothecary. So Darc decided to give it a try. Unfortunately there was a lot of tedious work involved with owning your own shop if you weren't a licensed doctor. That is, unless you were a traveling doctor. Darc found the idea of travel to be fun, mostly spurred on by the idea of adventure and all the girls one might meet out on the road. So he packed up and set out for Monev Calv, where doctors were needed and no one asked annoying questions.
Darc found he was much better at being a traveling pharmacist than he was at studying or taking tests, and, above all, he enjoyed it. The little towns showered him in praise and affection, often calling him their hero. He was easy to approach and set people at ease with his sweet but bumbling nature. He decided this was how he'd spend the rest of his life, but his dream was cut short 8 years into his adventure.
While working in the little swamp town of Mudhollow, Darc was approached by the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen, asking him for help. Unfortunately this woman was Chole Raycravd, a sadistic crimelord from Lord Ciwn, and her way of asking was a bit rougher than Darc would have liked.

Cryolidhium poisoning

Chole and her band infect Darc with Cryolidhium poisoning by stabbing him in the chest with an active shard of Cryolidhium, and go out of their way to make sure it can't be removed.
This was Chole's idea of incentive. What she wanted was a cure, as she herself was dying from it.
-creates a Cure for Cryolidhium poisoning.
-Darc Survives After inventing the cure for cryolidhium poisoning Darc(30) is still dying. So Chole(33) rents a Surgeon(31) from pirates to remove the chunk of cryolidhium from his chest. Meets ora and reconnects with clarroy.

The Project

-Darc(31) is kidnapped from Chole's(34) mansion and taken to work on a strange cryolidhium/colossi based project by mysterious people
-Darc(31) is finally found and 'rescued' by the Raycravd syndicate.
