The salty spray of the seas of Isekai is a welcome feeling as the men once again board for a trip to far off lands. A young man, much younger than the others, barks orders that are immediately followed, tying off ropes and hoisting the sails as they move away from port. The man makes his rounds, inspecting what the crew has done, making sure that everything is in its place and had been completed to the captain's standards. With a sharp nod of his head, there is almost a sigh of relief as the young man heads towards the cabins, preparing to plot their course once again.
Raiden Jax spends his days at the helm, assisting his ship's captain as the first mate. His job is second nature now, having spent most of his two and a half decades of life on the decks of constantly moving ships instead of on land. Without a family to look after him, the ship and the captain who had taken him in had been his family and his life had been the sea. It was a life of strict discipline, learning the ropes of sailing, from charting courses to repairs. He had seen great storms come and pass on the open sea, hardening him into a weather-worn fighter and sailor.
On land, Raiden was known for his quick hands and hard punches. He fought with the ease of a man twice his age, but his opponents believed it was nothing more than the skills of a man stuck out at sea for years. There was a dark aura to Raiden's abilities, but it was one that was often too quick to catch. He made a name for himself in and out of port, taking winnings from his fights and bringing them back to his captain.

While Raiden has the physique of a fighter, he prides himself on keeping appearance sleek and clean, even if he is sometimes a bit rough around the edges.

He only have one thing he considers a failure. The ship and her crew set out to find a great beast of the seas of Isekai, but after months on the water, had yet to catch a glimpse of the creature. The crew were forced to return to port, knowing that there would not be another chance to find the creature.
