Eshil
Diversity. That sums up the region of Eshil perfectly. A multitude of people originating from many cultures have scattered throughout the different biomes that this region has to offer. Some flock towards the towns and cities to be among people or to find crafting workplaces to put themselves to good use. Others live amidst nature, trading with neighbouring villages and merchants passing by to get everything they need to live. This happens all the while no one owns Eshil in its entirety. Instead, a few large players are working together to maintain the natural beauty of this place while also providing people with roofs over their heads.
Things might look relatively calm and tranquil around here, but I can feel something brewing underneath the surface. Not everything is what it seems to be...

The coastal cliffs mark the border with the bountiful seas. Rivers weave through the land connecting towns and villages while providing a stable source of food and water. Those same rivers help to bring water deeper into the lands to hydrate the fertile soil on which farmers grow a multitude of crops.
Large meadows give animals and plants a space to flourish. The occasional patches of trees and forest diversifies the sight over these colourful grasslands. Larger forests give home and protection to more animals and plants, a space for a retreat. For those desiring more water along with the forest, the marshes provide just that.
The mountain ranges in the distance is home to a colder climate that a large group of dwarves like. While they all are rich in resources, they are not equally friendly to those traversing through its narrow paths or elaborate cave systems. The landscape diversity and richness in resources has allowed a multitude of large towns and cities to spring up throughout the region. Their popularity is primarily dictated by trade; some are a medium to large trading center, others are rich in resources that need to be collected or they produce products that are in high demand.
