Sun Sickness

I'd rather not go in there! I need Taria's grace to keep me safe.
— An Elfkind who was asked to enter a Mountainhome
Many can suffer from drowsiness, nausea and the loss of appetite, when they spend too much time inside a mountainhome. This is due to them recieving not enough sunlight, thus they suffer from what is known as Sun Sickness.   Only the Elfkind and Humankind are mostly affected by Sun Sickness. Dwarvenkind are able to be Sun Sick, however their symptoms are not usually as severe as their Atharian counterparts. Therefore many Elfkind and Humankind people are wary of entering Mountainhomes. Kalruuthians, however, do not seem to get Sun Sick much. They say this is because kalruuth protects them, much to the Order's disagreement.

Causes

Scholars across Atharia warn people that the lack of sunlight causes Sun Sickness. Priests of Taria's Order say this is because they are being blessed by 's grace. Therefore those who live in Mountainhomes are encouraged to go outside at least 2 days a week.
And through the blessings of we must bask in her light!   "Go outside," she said, "and feel my Essence flow within each of you!"
