The Scrappers

The Scrappers are a colloquial term for those who live on the outer fringes of the Junkberg Bermuda's inhabitable regions. Some of them are even living in zero-g sections of the ship where the Antigravity does not reach.

Many scrappers work in the Scrapper profession, mostly out of having little other option. They are a culturally-rich people, as with desperation and strife comes tradition and beliefs. Any dishes, superstitions, and slang aboard the Bermuda was most likely to be coined by the Scrappers.

We got our lot'n life that Mother Curie grants us. Some a' us meet our untimely demise out here yea, but we have never faltered as a people.

Values

Most Scrappers are isolated enough from the world that there core values and beliefs come from their circumstance rather than their upbringing.

The onboard AI, Mother Curie, understands the Scrappers necessity, and so helps however she can to protect and guide them. Her suggestions even if slightly misguided are followed as well as they can be.

Some pieces of advice from Mother Curie are so old that they have evolved into Scrapper superstition rather than guidance.

History

The Scrappers came from all walks of life; unskilled, unlucky, or seeking a different life. The first Scrappers came from the ships pulled aboard to form the Junkberg. These people were unable to barter for good housing, and so lived where ever they could find a room, and made their lives scrapping whatever they could find within the hulls.

Conceptions

The impression of the Scrappers is that they are the 'working blood' of the Junkberg Bermuda. They are quirky, unique, unpredictable, and superstitous. Of course there are so many backgrounds with the Scrappers, that finding two whose beliefs perfectly overlap is near impossible.
