Eternal Realm
The Eternal Realm was once the pinnacle of divine creation, the seat of power from which The Seven ruled and shaped the Eternal Universe. It was a plane of perfect order and boundless energy, a realm where the laws of reality were dictated by the will of its divine inhabitants. However, in the wake of the Calamity, the Eternal Realm was abandoned, left in ruins as The Seven were imprisoned behind the Eternal Gate.
Origins and Purpose
The Eternal Realm was constructed by The Seven shortly after the creation of the Eternal Universe, not as an instantaneous act of will, but through a process that required immense energy and precision. The Seven carefully wove its foundations from pure Eternal Essence, shaping its very fabric to be a perfect reflection of their divine order. Each of them contributed a unique aspect of its design, ensuring that it would serve as the ultimate seat of power from which they could oversee existence.
It served as their divine stronghold, a plane separate from all others, where they could oversee their grand design without interference. Unlike the Eternal Plane, which is the broader dimension where divine and celestial beings once roamed freely, the Eternal Realm was a central domain, specifically attuned to the power of The Seven.
Within this sacred realm, The Seven devised the fundamental structures of existence, assigning roles to their Eternal Servants and shaping the balance of reality. It was from here that they channeled Eternal Essence into the Material and Elemental Planes, ensuring that the cosmic order remained intact.
The Fall of the Eternal Realm
The Eternal War brought devastation to the Eternal Realm. As the Rebel Ones rose against The Seven, battles raged within the very heart of their divine seat. The once-perfect plane became a battlefield, with the fabric of reality itself threatened by the unchecked use of Eternal Shards and destructive magic beyond mortal comprehension.
The war reached its climax with the detonation of the Unstable Shard, an artifact created by the rebels in a desperate attempt to overthrow their creators. Tardok, the leader of the Rebel Ones, activated the shard in a final bid for victory, believing that its unstable power could unmake The Seven's hold on reality itself. However, the energy within the shard was too volatile to control, and its activation resulted in a catastrophic explosion beyond what even the rebels had anticipated. The resulting explosion shattered the balance of the Eternal Universe, causing irreparable damage to the Eternal Realm. Its structures collapsed, its once-pristine energy became corrupted, and chaos overtook what had once been the pinnacle of divine order.
Following the Calamity, The One intervened, sealing The Seven within the Eternal Plane and raising the Eternal Gate to prevent them from ever leaving. The Eternal Realm, now devoid of its rulers, became a hollow ruin—a fragmented, decaying world where echoes of its former glory still linger.
The Eternal Realm in the Present Age
Though the Eternal Realm remains in ruin, it is not entirely abandoned. Some Eternal Servants—those who survived the war—are believed to still wander its remains, either bound by duty or lost in their search for purpose. Many Magisters believe that the realm still holds immense untapped power, though none have ever been able to reach it.
Some scholars speculate that, despite their imprisonment, The Seven may still be able to exert influence from within the Eternal Realm, subtly shaping events in the Eternal Universe. There are recorded instances of individuals claiming to have received visions or cryptic messages believed to originate from The Seven, often occurring in places where the boundaries between planes are weakest. Some Magisters argue that unexplained fluctuations in Eternal Essence could be evidence of their lingering will, nudging reality in ways too subtle to be directly attributed to them.
Others believe that one day, the Eternal Gate may break, and The Seven will reclaim their lost throne.
For now, the Eternal Realm remains an enigmatic and unreachable place—a testament to the rise and fall of divine power, though some Magisters continue to search for ways to pierce its barriers, believing that within its ruins lies knowledge or power that could reshape the fate of the universe.
