Eternal Universe

The Eternal Universe encompasses all the planes of existence and everything within them. It includes galaxies, stars, planets, and every object and form of life. This vast and intricate multiverse was born from the boundless creativity of The One at the dawn of time.

Organization

The Eternal Universe is divided into multiple planes of existence, each with its own unique physical laws and characteristics. According to the Magisters, this division is essential to maintaining the order of all things, a truth demonstrated during the catastrophic events of the Calamity.

History

Creation

At the universe’s inception, The One divided existence into distinct planes, each a blank canvas with its own laws of reality. To further shape these realms, The One entrusted the Eternals with the task of populating the planes with original creations. Alongside their Servants, the Eternals began their monumental work, each contributing uniquely to the burgeoning cosmos.

  • The Architect: The first to act, The Architect crafted the stars and planets in all their diverse forms, laying the structural foundation of the universe.
  • The Balancer: Following The Architect, The Balancer ensured equilibrium among all creations. Stars were evenly distributed across galaxies, planets were carefully placed within stellar systems, and continents, biomes, and ecosystems were proportionately balanced on each world.
  • The Nurturer: The Nurturer filled the empty vessels formed by The Architect with life. From the simplest organisms to the most monstrous creatures, she saw every being as special, believing that all had a vital role in the grand design of the universe.
  • The Timekeeper: The Timekeeper infused the cosmos with the flow of time, allowing stars, creatures, and entire worlds to evolve. For him, change was not only inevitable but essential for the universe's survival.
  • The Guardian: The Guardian did not directly contribute to the act of creation but served as a watchful protector, ensuring that none of the Eternals overstepped their bounds or disrupted the delicate balance of their collective work.
  • The Reaper: Believing that every creation must have an end, The Reaper introduced death into the universe. This act, far from malicious, was one of mercy, sparing creatures from eternal suffering and allowing for renewal and change.
  • The Dreamweaver: Millennia later, during the Eternal War, The Dreamweaver made her unique contribution. Realizing the Eternals were marching toward self-destruction, she imbued consciousness into select species within the universe, preserving life as The One had envisioned it.

Rearrangement

The Calamity, the universe's most cataclysmic event, left an indelible mark on its structure. In its aftermath, the cosmology of the Eternal Universe was drastically rearranged. Celestial bodies were displaced, and creatures from one plane found themselves inexplicably cast into another. This upheaval forever altered the balance of the universe, reshaping the realms in ways even the Eternals had not foreseen.
