Dragons are reptilian creatures, often winged or with the power of flight. Most are able to use a breath weapon and are immune to sleep and paralysis. Sometimes, only they're influence is needed to be recognized within the heart of a creature. Or, entities with this trait just have
something to do with dragons.
Items with this trait either involve dragons, are made of parts of dragons, or made to defy dragons.

Beastiary Information: Dragons
Dragons are as old as the dungeons they reside or spawn from, if not older depending on the mythos and story of origin. Despite coming in many shapes and sizes across multiverses, there are a few constants that Dragons and the statblocks they have in CHASE share.
- They are physically immortal, and appear to grow stronger over time
- They have an elemental core that, itself, is bound to them and grows as they do. This core gives them a breath weapon (Dragonbreath) and near immunity to the elemental and all it's ilk.
- They are categorized by their scale color, which many take pride in or denote their elemental attubement.
Dragon Size and Aging
Traditionally, a dragon's power is tied to it's size, which is thought to be tied to it's age. While the two are tied closely, it not always the case. Instead, Ranks (0-10) are used to show a dragon's true strength, akin to how
Spells, Maneuvers, and Abilities function. One could even believe, due to dragons having an innate bond with Magic due to their elemental cores, that such a system spawned the need for Ability Ranking in many ancient histories.

Types of Dragons
There are multiple kinds of dragons, which each have subsets closely relating to scale and color. It's believed this vibrance also helps dragons understand and form cultures. As a special note, this is note set in stone. It is entirely possible to change things up, like having the strange, esoteric idea to have a green dragon breathe fire.
Before, this was also used to predefine dragons and their alliegence to certain deities or ideals (such as Chromatics all being evil worshipers of a dragon god, and Metallics all being good due to the oppositional deity being one). This, more than anything, is based around the Draconic Culture of the plane and how it was written rather than what could be done with each individual type of dragon. To that end, this information will not be mentioned here and will be kept to the lore sections of individual settings and creatures rather than removed entirely.
This secion is particularly useful for those with the
Draconic Progenitor common feature, or similar.
Chromatic Dragons
Chromatic Dragons are considered the 'classic' dragons. Their scale colors are vibrant, but matte in finish. Their elemental cores channel overland environments and materials, being why many natural dragon habitats and lairs are of such (Black Dragons tends to reside in Swamps, Red Dragons Volcanos, etc).
Metallic Dragons
Metallic Dragons are dragons whose scale colors have a particularly glinting sheen. Their elemental cores channel the power of lyared and precious minerals formed after several millenia of pressure. These dragons are often considered 'mythical' variants of other or more classical dragons, akin to how
Mythical Beasts are fabled or legend focused
Beasts and
Humanoids.
Weather Dragons
Weather Dragons are near divine beings that channel the seasons and the winds. They are often also associated with the
Fey due to similar attunement with such elements, with changing seasons and weather often reflected supernaturally on their forms (such as clouds, open flames, magical waters, etc). Their elements are often atmospherically charged and channel the phenomena of such, such as storms or heatwaves.
Crystal Dragons
Crystal Dragons are a weird sort. Often adorned with gems and floating stones, these creatures are dragons attuned to the
Psychic scale of magic across the multiverses. Their power is both of mind and body, and their breath weapons oddly take physical form despite being associated with the mind.
Esoteric Dragons
The final kind of dragon, mostly define by their attunement not to groups of elements, but aspects of the equal powers. These dragons are often crosses of certain elements rolled into one (such as the Fey Dragon being an environmental dragon like a Chromatic or Weather dragon, but for the Fae Realms like the First World and the Fey Wild).
Special Dragons
The final final kind of dragon. These are less tied to the implicit worldbuilding that can come with the dragons above, and ar emore references and neat little asides for fun.
By RAW, these choices are not available for GMs and players for things like Draconic Progenitor. But you can totally use them if you want to, since that's what they're there for.
