Description
You conjure a personal, controllable mote of fire you can use as a light source or as an attack.
This is a two-part spell. The first function must be activated before the second one, taking an action (◈) for either.
Effects
Ignition: A flickering flame appears in your hand. The flame remains there for the duration of this spell, and harms neither you nor your equipment. The flame sheds Bright Light in a 10-foot Radius and Dim Light for an additional 10 feet. The spell ends if you dismiss it as a free action on your turn, or if you cast it again. The flame counts as a source of fire for Control Fire and other abilities or features.
- Flame Bolt: You attack with the flame, doing so as a spell attack or (your choice ) a regular attack like a Thrown⚙️ weapon with this spell's range as its base and max range. Doing so consumes the spell. The flame deals 1d8 ↗⤴ fire damage on hit, and deals Burning⚙️ on critical strike, equal to the amount of total damage this ability dealt.
Augmentation + other notes
↗/Augmented by Level: This spell’s damage increases by 1d8 at certain Characrer levels. When you reach Character Level 5, it deals 2d8 , 3d8 at level 11, and 4d8 at level 17.
⤵/Augment Down: You may cast this spell using a spell slot lower than the 1st Level. If you do, increase the damage by 1d8 per rank for each spell slot level used.
↣/Augmented by Chaining: If you use another ability with the Fire trait while the Ignition function is active, you may consume it as a Free Action / ◇. If you do, you apply the Flame Bolt effect to the ability's damage.
