Burning is a damage type and condition that’s about energy damage (Acid, Fire, etc) being dealt over time, lingering long after the blow.

Trait Mechanic⚙️
Burning Damage is not applied immediately, but is ‘saved’ in a condition that gives a numbered stack. At the end of a creature’s turn, they take damage equal to the amount of Burning damage it has. After taking the damage, the stack is reduced by half (rounded down), otherwise, Buning can stack infinitely.
A creature (be it the afflicted or an ally) can spend 1 Standard Action / ◈ to halve the stack harmlessly.
